Vinicius Jr Extends Apology to Los Blancos Supporters
The attacker has registered five strikes in 10 domestic competition appearances so far this term.
Los Merengues attacker Vinicius Jr has apologised to supporters for his reaction when replaced in the recent fiery match against Barcelona win.
He was taken off in the 72nd min and showed his disappointment by going straight down the tunnel.
The Brazilian later returned to the sidelines and, after his team's 2-1 victory, tried to confront Barcelona's youngster Yamal during contentious after the game scenes.
"Now I want to say sorry to all the Real Madrid fans for my response when I was substituted in the derby," the player posted on social media.
"In the same way as I have already done during this morning's practice, I would like to apologise again to my teammates, the club, and the leadership.
"Sometimes emotion overcomes me because I continuously aim to win and help my club. My winning mentality originates in the passion I have for this institution and each thing it stands for."
The player moved to the Spanish capital from his former club in recent years for £38.7m and has scored triple figures in numerous matches.
But his prospects in the Madrid is uncertain with speculation in the past few months indicating that Los Blancos would consider permitting the player depart if they obtained a good proposal.
When Vinicius was replaced on that day, cameras from broadcaster the service picked him up remarking: "It's always me! I'm leaving the team! It's better if I leave, I'm moving on."
In his most recent statement on X, he commented: "I vow to keep striving at all times for the good of Real Madrid, as I have done since the first day."
