The assessment was published as the military department selected possible locations for six new ammunition plants, constituting a broader strategy to increase national weapons output.

Recently, the Defense Minister announced plans to move Britain to "war-fighting readiness", featuring substantial funding to facilitate the building of new ammunition facilities.
