"Look at such effort. Observe this act of ethnic cleansing," a combatant exclaims.

The fighter smiles as he directs the video equipment on his own face and his associate combatants, their paramilitary badges on display: "The victims are all going to be killed this way."

These individuals are rejoicing over a massacre that humanitarian officials suspect resulted in the deaths of over 2,000 civilians in the African urban center of the Darfur city last month.

A Community Cut Off from the Outside

Following their control of the community under siege for approximately two years, from the summer the RSF moved to consolidate its control and blockade the surviving civilian population.
